The World Youth Invention and Innovation Award 2022 (WYIIA 2022) is a five-day (22-26 August) worldwide event hosted by the Faculty of Science and Technology UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta via the Faculty’s International Office in partnership with IYSA (Indonesian Young Scientist Association). 254 teams from 26 nations, including Indonesia, participated in the WYIIA 2022 by opening eight competency areas, namely technology, mathematics, social science, environment, life science, physics, education, energy, and engineering.
Gede Ngurah Oka Anggadipa (Chief) and I Gede Arya Suta (member) of the Chemistry Education Study Program won the Gold Medal in the Environment category and the MYSO Special Award with the title “Fragrant Beauty: Natural Parfume Innovation Based on Ceremonial Waste to Optimize Zero Waste” under the supervision of Dr. I Nyoman Tika, M.Sc.
As team members, they earned a Gold Medal in the Education Category with the title “Masara Bali: Balinese Writing Application to Understand Balinese Writing for Elementary School in Bali” under the supervision of Drs. I Made Suardana, M.Pd.
